Welcome to the Home Page of Stanbridge Lower School

Stanbridge School is situated in the village of Stanbridge, a few miles outside the market town of Leighton Buzzard. It also serves the villages of Billington, Eggington and Tilsworth. Two buses bring children in the morning from Eggington and Billington, and return them home after school. There are four classrooms, a computer suite and a hall, all of which are well looked after and provide a pleasant and productive working environment for the pupils.

Stanbridge is a community school. The life of the school is tied into that of its villages, through the work of the “Parents, Teachers and Friends Association” and its links with the church, community, old people's home and local businesses. We endeavour to ensure these links remain firm, as we value our position within the community.

There is a large two-acre playing field at the back of the school with an environmental area, added in the millennium year, where pupils are able to study science and natural habitats in our open-air classroom. A trim trail for active, physical play, plus a pirate ship and train provide interest for children during fine weather when they play on the field.

At the front of the school is the playground and the newly acquired Rosie Court, made interesting by the addition of painted playground markings, a games table and a multi – feed netball post.
