Many villagers have expressed concern over vehicles that obstruct footpaths, park on the zigzag lines outside the school, and park within 100 feet of road junctions. The police have been asked to respond to this inconsiderate (and potentially dangerous) behaviour. So far, four fixed penalty fines have been issued to drivers in Peddars Lane and outside the school. A resident of Stanbridge has received two letters purporting to be from Stanbridge Parish Council. We should note that genuine letters from the Parish Council will be to and from named individuals whose contact details are clearly stated in the event that the addressee wishes to query or answer the communication.
